How To Get Back To Normal Life Post Covid?
Hopefully, Covid 19 will subside soon!
But what will happen post Covid?
Will we get back to normal life?
Yes, but it would take a long time to transform our life and habits.
Since we have been in a constant process of changing for a considerable period of time. How can we expect to simply jump back to the usual routine?
Human beings take time to adapt changes and then we live in our comfort zone. Again going back to the hectic lifestyle may be little difficult. Most of the employees have been working from home and students are studying online. Lying on couch or bed for extended hours has become quite normal. Even our physiques are also into lethargic mode. We hardly want to move until it becomes really necessary.
Let us talk about the children, who have been into entertainment mood for months rather it may count to years. They have forgotten the basics and do not wish to write these days. However, it is going to be a major issue once the schools will reopen. A gap of 2 or more academic years can leave students, teachers and parents into an unusual situation. What is the solution? Though we can't find one, still we can try to minimize the impact.
Patience can do wonders! Slowly and gradually we need to bring changes in the routine, rather than waiting for a magic to happen one day. Mental preparation helps us to cope up with any challenges or tough time. Trust me, transformation from comfort zone to active routine would be a big deal for all the people. That is why, it is quite significant to prepare before hand. In fact, we must start doing something instantly.
Especially when we talk about the children who have lost their normal life unknowingly. Watching tv for long hours, playing games on mobile phone or computer and social media addiction have made them almost unable to do anything else. Studies have become a kind of obligation which is not able to prove its worth at the moment. But later in life, they may be in a challenging situation.
We must start following few steps and methods, that may offer us with a ready guide for adapting changes in future. Now is the right time for us to divert the attention of our children through something creative and interesting. May be we can start playing games with them and spend some time to help them change their mind state. We need to make them understand that the temporary situation is about to get over and we all have to work for our aim. Remember when we aim higher, then we have to plan every bit.
On top of it, we need to make children grow mentally and physically. Since they have been also stuck in the unwanted situation, it requires lot of hand holding. We cannot assume that they will get back to previous state of mind naturally. In fact it needs all time focus to boost their confidence and understand their needs. Step by step mentoring is needed, like all of us had done when we enrolled them in the schools for the first time.
Go to sleep, else you will not get complete sleep! Complete your homework as it will help you to prepare for the exams! Take bath now and we can eat our meals together! Let's make a timetable for the week, so that we can enjoy our weekend! Only when you will finish the writing work, we can have some fun! If your work will be pending, then we would not be able to go for outing/vacation! ....... Surely you can make it work with such and many other encouraging facts.
But be conscious, never over do it. Else you will be stuck in your own statements and promises. Ultimately we must not run our minds for the changes, let it go naturally. It's not only about children, but adults also. We need to keep motivating ourselves too, even in routine life. Sometimes for promotion, reaching the destination or to carry on with any relationship. So be natural and assist your future aspirations sail through the journey smoothly and happily.
