Long journey! It took a long way for her to complete her battle, to stay at peace. She couldn't believe at once, when she returned to her home that her own destructor would not come at night. Even for so many days, she was under fear that he may arrive any time on the door. The only reason she chose for not to keep waiting for years for some amount of money, was that she was running out of her breathe. Domestic violence has become a pattern of her life, she wanted to break at any cost.
The most important thing for her was to achieve the peace of mind and silence in herself. As she was going through Innumerable series of suffering, for more than 12 years. The time, that she could have spent in making of her lasting career or living as per her own wishes. But she gained the experience of lifetime, that encouraged her to advise a lot of people who may fall in the clutches of destiny due to their decision leading to domestic violence most of the time. 
Now, when she can sleep and breathe in peace. She doesn't regret for the loss of money, however some corner of her heart counts the years that she spent for a person who never bothered about her existence. Walls of her house are the witness of her silent struggle, that she kept bearing all these years. Mirror in her house shows her the loss of time, that she could never regain. Her own belongings became strange to herself. What went wrong? Has she heard the knocking of domestic violence?
No matter how contended her present is, even if she is going through a lot of hardships at social and monetary levels. But at last, she has achieved the impossible success of her life. Her only ray of hope is her child, whom she wants to brought up with every possible worldly comforts and a secure future. That would be the justice to her son to certain extent, even if she doesn't receive the justice for herself.
