Beware of MLM / Network Marketing Business - Qnet scam

Beware of MLM / Network marketing business. 

Your profile is being watched by some MLM companies or network. You never know that, you may get a call from some very known person (family relations or friend) and you may be asked with a huge amount to invest in a business plan. Since you trust on that person, you end up investing money on his or her request.  

It is true that every business requires some investment, but it should be viable and practical. Network marketing/ MLM is a business, which is not made for all. You may be asked to join a meeting in a renowned place like CCD or Starbucks, To play with your mentality. So that, you can think that the company is trustworthy and you will be impressed ; with hospitality and gratitude. 

A person earns money after a lot of hard work and saves it for future plans. Due to some reliable resources, if this MLM Network comes to know about you, you end up becoming a part of their trap.

When you have some money, it starts reflecting either on your activity or someone gets to know automatically. Sometimes money makes you selfish or egoistic, that you start discriminating yourself among others. 

One of my friends was saving money a lot, for years and he hardly used to spend money on anything. He was from lower middle-class family, so he knows the suffering caused due to the financial problems. Since he was in a hectic job like majority of the people. Due to insecurity and dark future, he decided to do a business and quit the job once settled. One day, he was invited to a meeting by some of his known friend. He went to attend the meeting in CBD, with a lot of excitement.

These places are always filled with secret employees of the same network; who always have an eye on their prey from a distance- to know the posture, habits and facial expressions to guess that whether the person is interested or not. The same report is sent to the mastermind, who sits nearby at another place and who have been befooling others for a long time. After some time, a junior employee appears from the same network to verify if everything is secure and confidential.

He was presented with a business plan, where he was asked a few personal questions and then he was asked for a future plan. Then his personal life was co-related with money and future plan. He was shown some drawing on a blank paper, which gradually impinge his mentality and that session was a part of hypnotism.

That session was planned in such a way, where he was imagining fulfilling all his dreams with revelling the investment and company name. When he was in presenter's shoe, he was bombarded with a huge amount of 3.5 lakh with somewhat dominating nature. Presenter knew that nobody will deposit such a huge amount. So there was a facility to deposit the token money, to block the seat. Otherwise, the position could have gone to someone else.

The presenter showed him some negative comments ("scam", "fake") in Google, as everyone tries to search the website in Google before investing to save himself for future problems. In case my friend finds something and raises the issue ( as a safety). After some time he was introduced to a beautiful female "sexy lady on the floor", who came in a white shirt and black mini outfit by showing cliche..and sat in front of him. He was feeling so excited and happy, that he forgot everything. Now his situation was totally different, as he was about to join one of the leading and biggest business network with a beautiful lady.

My friend was so much convinced, that he deposited 20000 INR then and there to block his seat and did not disclose it to anyone as he wanted to be rich alone :) Then he was asked to deposit rest of the amount, next day that he deposited ...He got access in a web portal with credentials where he could see his earning, nothing else. Now he has entered into a big business and feeling very happy, as he wanted to fulfill his dreams. Now, what next? He was offered a foreign trip, so that he can post his pictures on social media and others will also be impressed.

I also saw his pictures and liked. Many more people also reached him, for the same. I asked him, what kind of business you are doing? Then he revealed, that I am into import-export business. I was very happy and asked him, to engage me as well. He asked me to send the PAN card and a photograph, for verification and eligibility. I kept on asking about the company name, his designation, location and website. But he refused to reveal any of these things. Saying that, when you come- Sir will tell you.

Since he was part of the fake business, he only had to introduce someone to the same presenter, rest will be done by the superior or mastermind. He thought that I am interested in the business. So, he wanted to recover his money by investing mine. I have been doing business for a long time and when he called me, I had to attend the meeting as he is my friend. However, I did not know that I was about to join MLM meeting.

I already have been a part of this kind of MLM/ Network marketing meetings. So, I knew everything about it. But I tried to pretend, that I am joining such meeting for the first time and I never did any business.

I was called in CCD by my friend so I went there. He offered me coffee, that I enjoyed. I asked a few questions from my friend, which actually changed his mind. He could have informed me and have saved his hard earned money. But whatever happened, cannot be changed. I did not want to demotivate him, as he was very happy. I told him that you keep on trying and if you get anyone in 7 days, I will join as well. Else come to me, so that I can make some plan to rescue/recover your amount.

Now the player appeared and he was treating my friend, as if he became a slave by investing his amount. It was very tough to be a novice, by knowing all. I tried my best and became their prey to start the story.

I was asked some personal questions like "what I want to be", "why I want to do business", "what is my aim", "have I ever done any business"... The story seemed fake in the starting itself .. I wish I could slap him, but I hold my horses. He ate my 2 hours and convinced me, that I could earn 14 Crore rupees in 31 days by just investing 2-3 hours a day. He kept on giving examples with some known author, who described several states of earning money in the graphical method. Presenter kept on asking "good" or "bad", after every example to check my interest level and if I was listening. Finally, the meeting was over and the presenter went back. I was asked to wait, by my friend.

I waited, while he sees off the presenter and came back to me. He asked me - what do you think? I told clearly, that you became a part of biggest scam. Still, you can try ... You try it for 7 days and come to me after it, I have plans for you. Yesterday was the 15th day and he came to meet up, urgently.....
