Time changes people
I have not even thought of such an ugly phase of life, when a person who used to purchase anything to everything gets to the situation when she has to sell her household things for the survival of her kid and herself.
No, I am not talking about any uneducated girl. Its just the matter of chance that she is facing the problem. I am telling you about the lady who lives in my neighborhood. I have seen her since she came after getting married.
Piya is a beautiful and different character from us. She worked for some years and also manages her home. That she is doing at present too. Just that now her owner doesn't exist in her virtual life. Don't get confused, I am referring to her hubby who lived like he is the master of Piya.
I have never seen her sitting or talking much in the nearby area, like we all do normally. She always remains busy with her family specially her son whom she takes care like a prince. I got to know from her mother in law and other people in the neighborhood that she is from a very well to do background. Not only that I have witnessed her lifestyle in all these years which is not easy to gain and to maintain.
Last week when I was waiting for my kids to return from the school, I saw her arguing with the local scrap person. I couldn't find the reason that why Piya is talking about the household things which are lying over the gate of her house. I didn't even pay any attention to this and got busy with my own work.
But I was shocked as if sky has broken down, when the same scrap boy was talking to my mom in law 2 days ago. The version he gave could be heart breaking for anybody who listens to it. According to him, she has been into such arguments for quite a while. "kya bhaiya, itna mehenga liya tha maine. Sahi paise de do. Zarurat na hoti to hatana nahi tha".
Neither I nor my thoughts are able to understand that what is the urgency for her to sell the house hold things, that too to a scrap dealer.
