Court of Law not Justice
On and off, we're heard saying or hearing 'Will see you in Court'. That means the speaker has reached the stage where he has decided to file the case. But is the filing of the case, the end of the problems? Or is it just the beginning of another set of complications? Actually, the latter one applies in most of the cases. Approaching the court of law is as easy as buying a cup of coffee in a coffee shop. But getting the remedy to your case is like, lighting the sun.
I am not talking bookish here but the self-experience of my life and conditions. I am talking about the situation when the life only moves with the dates of the calendar, or you can say that the life gets stopped within the dates of the calendar. By the time, you reach the Verdict of the Court case, you realize that you have lost a lot even if you won the case. How??
Loss of time, energy, health and above all the loss of your mental peace which is difficult to retain. It's not that we don't understand the fact, however, we're left with no other options to follow then to head towards the court of law.
You must be thinking, why I am insisting with the concept of LAW and not JUSTICE? The only reason why I am is that the laws of the country are in place and can be heard every now and then, but the implementation of the laws are hardly evident. What to call the Verdict that will occur after the death of the victim?
What to say about the response of the Jurisdiction that will happen post burning of the girl who has been facing the domestic violence for a long time?
How to judge the decisions of the courts that will be announced after the child's name is struck off from the school, due to non-payment of the fees in maintenance cases?
Can we call it a justice, when a mother sells everything to the survival of her kid and herself, for meeting with bare minimum needs?
I don't think so.... If it would have been a justice, then the victim could have received this within the time frame meeting the expectations. The relief would have come as a reward for voicing the truth, not as compensation for the sufferings.
What is required to be done, in most of the cases? There is no set formula to respond to the question, however, awareness and timely strategy could sort the problem out to some extent if done in initial stages.
